I was thinking about how certain needlepoint pieces or knitting projects grab my attention. It is not that I especially need or have room for it, it is more about the tingle. It is the play of colors and design, it is how the birds look when the canvas fills with tapestry wool and the lotus blossoms gleam in silk. It can be how a cable looks when you are halfway to making the next twist that has me casting on a new scarf. Even a project stretched on a floor frame, waiting for more attention makes me feel just a little more secure.
